Black Door Social was established in December 2020 by Rachel Hobson, after successfully building up an established client base over several years of providing social media support for businesses on a freelance basis. 

Rachel saw a gap in the market to start a social media agency in Yorkshire that businesses could engage with easily and flexibly, and in a manner that was accessible to businesses of any size. 

Black Door Social offer everything from complete social media management, to social media admin support, content creation, social media training, social media coaching… and much more.

Unlike many other social media agencies who lead with their packages first and expect you to pick a service level, Black Door Social always start with a conversation with you, and find out exactly what bespoke support and solutions you need based on what you are trying to achieve with your social media. No two clients are ever the same, and we develop a plan for your social media (and the support you need from Black Door Social) around you. There are no set packages and no long-term contracts or agreements; we simply work with clients on a specified time commitment that they are happy with per week or per month. This makes accessing quality support really easy, even for the smallest  of businesses, and means we can really maximise results in the most cost-effective way.

We currently handle client accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn. On LinkedIn this includes both company profiles & personal profiles.  

At Black Door Social, we do not have any set ‘packages’ as we believe no two clients are the same, and the levels of service and support people need always varies. Instead, we sit down with clients and discuss the support and solutions we can provide, and base our costs on the number of hours a month they need. 

We work with a wide range of businesses both locally and nationally. Types of clients currently include: builders, home improvement services, accountants, recruitment consultants, app developers, research agencies, shopping centres, florists, physiotherapists, plus many more!    

You can be involved as much, or as little, as you like. Some of our clients speak to us daily, some just a few times a year! It all depends on your business and how much involvement you want. Some clients ask us to take complete control and trust us with managing everything, and with others we just support in areas they aren’t confident in.    

Yes, of course you can! We purposely keep our clients names under wrap as exactly what we do for every client varies massively. Once we know more about your business and what you need, we’ll be able to provide appropriate examples to showcase our work in action!   

Yes, no problem. We are already under NDAs with a few of our clients so we are compliant in this area!
